# Delete

The delete command allows you to delete data in any supported data structure.

## Usage

```
$ echo '{"name":{"first":"Tom","last":"Wright"}}' |
  dasel delete -r json 'name.last'
{
  "name": {
    "first": "Frank"
  }
}
```
